What inspired us?
The Republic We Keep was born out of countless passionate conversations we had about government throughout high school. In our senior year, we took AP Government and Politics together. As two young people deeply concerned with the state of civic awareness in America, we often found ourselves asking:
Why don’t more people care? Why don’t more people know?
That shared curiosity—and a sense of responsibility—pushed us to turn those conversations into something bigger.
We started this podcast because we believe understanding our government is the first step toward shaping a better future. Whether you're a student, a voter, or simply someone seeking to make sense of the headlines, we aim for this to be a space where civic education meets real-world relevance. This is our way of keeping the republic—through open dialogue, critical thinking, and community connection.
