Who We Are
The Republic We Keep is a student-led civic podcast created by Manuela Bulgaro and Aiden Annis. Through honest and thoughtful conversations, the podcast explores how American systems—such as healthcare, education, justice, and immigration—impact real people and what it takes to build a more informed and engaged generation of citizens.
Our Mission
To build civic literacy, spark intergenerational dialogue, and connect Gen Z to the systems that shape their lives, through real stories and expert voices. This podcast aims to foster dialogue across generations and political identities. This podcast presents arguments from both sides of various political topics, encouraging its audience to think critically.
In 2025, The Republic We Keep was honored to receive the Kesselman Fellowship for the Advancement of Democracy, a statewide initiative led by EngageNJ. This fellowship supports college students working on civic projects that foster dialogue, equity, and democratic engagement across New Jersey.
With the support of EngageNJ, our podcast is able to expand its reach, elevate underrepresented voices, and strengthen civic education through thoughtful, intergenerational conversations.
