A PODCAST ON AMERICAN SYSTEMS, VOICES, AND VALUES
About Us
The Republic We Keep is a student-led podcast that examines the systems, voices, and values shaping American democracy. Created by Manuela Bulgaro and Aiden Annis. The show is rooted in the belief that democracy doesn’t maintain itself. It must be questioned, understood, and actively protected.
Each episode brings listeners into conversations with real people—immigrants chasing the American Dream, professors unpacking complex policy, healthcare workers speaking on systemic gaps, and youth leaders reimagining civic life. We explore not only how these systems work but how they affect everyday lives—and what we, as citizens, can do about it.
We named this podcast after one of Benjamin Franklin’s most powerful warnings:
“A republic… if you can keep it.”
This is our way of keeping it—by asking hard questions, listening to unheard voices, and empowering the next generation to build a republic worth keeping.
